Arrival at Materuni Village
On arrival, you’ll be welcomed by a local guide from the village. The guide will introduce you to the area, explain village life, and prepare you for the walk to the waterfall.
Hike to Materuni Waterfalls
The hike takes about 40–50 minutes one way. The trail passes through banana plantations, coffee plants, and small streams. The walk is gentle but can be muddy during rainy seasons, so proper shoes are important. Along the way, your guide shares stories about local culture, plants, and daily life.
At the Waterfall
You’ll reach the breathtaking Materuni Waterfalls, where water drops powerfully into a natural pool. Take time to relax, enjoy photos, and swim if you like (the water is refreshing and cool).
Traditional Coffee Experience
After returning to the village, you’ll join a hands-on Chagga coffee experience. Learn how coffee is grown, roasted, ground, and brewed—then enjoy a fresh cup made the traditional way.
