FAQ
why choose the slow safari style?
This safari is designed for travelers who want a relaxed pace instead of rushing between places. You get more time at each location, better chances to observe natural animal behavior, and a deeper connection with the environment and local culture.
When is the best time to travel on this safari?
This safari runs all year round. The migration moves between the south (December–March, calving) and north (July–October, river crossings). Our team will recommend the best timing based on your interests. Shoulder seasons often have fewer crowds and great wildlife viewing.
Can the itinerary be customized?
Definitely. We can add more days in a specific park, include a balloon ride, or adjust the focus (e.g., more birds or big cats) to match your photography interests.
What should I pack?
Packing well makes a big difference in your comfort during the safari.
We recommend:
- Neutral-colored clothing (khaki, beige, green) to blend with the environment
- Light layers for daytime and a warm jacket for early mornings and evenings
- Comfortable shoes
- Sunscreen, sunglasses, and a wide-brim hat
- Camera with extra batteries and memory cards
- Binoculars for better wildlife viewing
Avoid bright colors and dark blue/black, as they can attract insects or disturb wildlife.
